On the faces in order to make them really contrast, in Photoshop I use the levels control to make the blacks blacker and the whites whiter. For the other layers, I use blending modes (darken, multiply, lighten, etc.) until I achieve a look I like. I also play with hue and saturation to tone things down or change colors. I do this with several layers until I like what I see. Sometimes I use the erase tool to take some parts away. -- People have asked for tutorials in the past and I would love to put one up someday when time allows.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14417217188669711208noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-17271534.post-9178338307945405732007-09-05T20:40:00.000-07:002007-09-05T20:40:00.000-07:00hi! i love your artwork, your style is amazing, i...hi! i love your artwork, your style is amazing, i love the depth and layers of each piece, really great stuff...i really like how this piece features the image of the girl, but you're also able to clearly see the layers behind her...without losing or watering down, the impact of her image...i just started using photoshop and am wondering if you would mind sharing this technique? i completely understand if you don't just thought i would ask...i'm not sure if you achieve this look by playing around with the transparency? although i feel like that would make the focal image lose it's impact, now i'm rambling :) anyway, your work is amazing and any help would be appreciated, thanks! <BR/>laylaAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
